I had a good year.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I had a pretty awesome 2010. I got to experience a lot of cool things, both as a performer and a music fan. But completely separate from that, I learned how to be happy. To reflect the good year I had, I wrote the song in the preceding post. It’s actually already a few months old and could accomodate more verses. It’s called “The MMX-Files” and I’m hoping to record it later with my band, Matt Wixson’s Flying Circus. If it does get the band treatment, those melodicas will be horns and I’ve already decided to rewrite some parts. But here it is. I hope you had a great year, and I hope you join me in challenging 2011 to be the best year ever.
